Our students are taking steps to move mountains with their learning! Each month, we focus on a new strategy that we call a Learner Power. We discuss what it means, how we can use it, and practice it! In September, our Learner Power is Adapt. We made a connection to chameleons who change their colors and discuss all the ways that we adapt to our new grade, classroom, routines, and also how we adapt to learn better.
Please join us on Thursday, August 28 at 6:00 PM for Back to School Night. This event is for our families to learn about the Silver Sage, the curriculum, events, PTO, and hear from the staff. The night will begin in the gymnasium for staff introductions and to hear from our Principal Mrs. Spittle about school wide topics. After that you are invited to your students classrooms to hear from their teachers about more details that are specific to their grade and classroom. This is a great way to get the year started and we can’t wait to see you there!

Today Ms. Hill was awarded a grant from the West Ada Education Foundation! Miss Hill's dedication to Kindergarten and her creative ideas will enhance their learning for sure.
"We study push, pull, and motion in Kindergarten. With items purchased from the grant, such as race ramps, the students will be able to conduct investigations to compare the motion of objects and other hands-on activities to deepen their understanding." - Ms. Hill
Way to go, we can't wait to see this learning is action!
