Come meet your student's new teacher and our staff on August 13th from 3:30-4:30! This is your chance for you and your student to find your classroom, meet your new teacher and drop off supplies. We're all excited to see you there! #wasd #soe #backtoschool2024
Find out your student's teacher! August 1st you will be able to find out who your student's new teacher is via PowerSchool. Once School Forms are updated, you'll be able to view their teacher placement. It takes 24 hours for PowerSchool to update so make sure those forms are filled out before August 1st to prevent a delay.
Don't know how to update School Forms? Visit the West Ada School District home page and click on the PowerSchool icon. Once you login to the parent portal, click on the School Forms icon on the left side. On the School Forms page, you'll find links toward the middle to update your information.
Please join us on May 2nd for an open house from 4:30-6:00pm to help us celebrate the retirements of Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Loupin. All current and past Seven Oaks families are invited to the celebration in the Seven Oaks gym.
March 11th-15th is Read Week!! Join us in celebrating the love of reading by dressing up each day of the week, this year's theme is Camp Read-A-Lot.
Kindness Week is coming next week! Help us show love and kindness during the week by dressing up and completing acts of kindness.
Attention incoming Kindergarten Parents!! Do you have a student that will be coming to Seven Oaks for the 2024-2025 school year?? Now is the time to start the enrollment process. Seven Oaks will be having a Kindergarten Parent Orientation on Tuesday February 27th from 10-11am in the Seven Oaks Library. Parents can start the online enrollment process now by visiting www.westada.org. Once the online enrollment is complete call the Seven Oaks office to schedule an appointment for your incoming Kindergarten student to meet with the teachers, meet the principal, and sit for a quick Kindergarten readiness screening on Tuesday March 12th.

Due to recent emergency closures/snow days, we want to inform you about updates in the academic calendar. Specifically, Wednesday, January 24, will no longer be a professional learning day without students. Instead, it has been rescheduled as a regular school day for all students, from pre-K to 12th grade.
We recognize the importance of clear communication and appreciate your patience and understanding during these unforeseen circumstances. These adjustments are made with the well-being of our students in mind as we strive to ensure the best possible learning environment.

Furthermore, please note that Wednesday, January 24, will be a B day for secondary students (grades 6-12).

Mark your calendars! Donuts with Santa: A Morning of Giving is Saturday, December 2nd from 9am-12pm in the Seven Oaks gymnasium. There will be FREE hot chocolate, donuts and pictures with Santa. Bring your phone or camera to take pictures. At the event there are several opportunities to GIVE BACK. Students can write holiday letters to local seniors at an assisted living home, take a tag from our giving tree, help a local Girl Scouts troop donating pet items for the Idaho Humane Society or bring hygiene items for the International Rescue Committee local refugees.
Purposity and Giving Tuesday, is tomorrow! All donations help students and families in the West Ada School District.

PTA Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive
It's finally time for our favorite November event where Seven Oaks gives back to our community! We will once again be collecting food for the Eagle Food Bank. Their shelves are bare as the demand for food has roughly DOUBLED in the last year. They are low on canned fruit, canned tuna/chicken/spam, pasta, pasta sauce, jelly, cereal, oatmeal, baking items, toilet paper/paper towels, and dish soap. Anything is appreciated! Of course, we will make this fun for all the students too! Thank you for helping our local community during this holiday season.

Panda Express Spirit Day
Join us for an ALL-DAY restaurant spirit day at Panda Express! Dine in or order online for pickup at Panda Express on Thursday, November 9th from 10:30am to 9:30pm. If you order online, please remember to use the code 357130 when you checkout so that the PTA gets credit for your purchase. If ordering in person show them the flyer on your phone or the paper flyer your student(s) will be bringing home. Thank you for supporting Seven Oaks PTA!
Subway order forms have been sent home for lunch in December and January, get your orders in soon!! Orders are due to your classroom teacher by Wednesday November 8th, no late orders will be accepted.
Congratulations to our October Curious Students of the Month! Every month Seven Oaks will focus on one of our Learner Powers and how these powers help us "level up" our learning. Seven Oaks students also wrote about what they are curious to learn more about.

We've turned up the volume with more fun, more choices and more excitement, so kids will arrive curious and leave bolder, prouder, and stronger than ever before. Here's what you need to know about our upcoming fair: Every dollar you spend will benefit our school directly! You can sign up for Book Fair eWallet, a convenient digital payment account, so your child can shop the Fair cash-free. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute to the eWallet to help build your home library. The eWallets are accessible now to add funds, so when the fair is here your child is ready to shop. Trunk or Treat is this Friday, October 27th!!! The festivities begin at 5pm and wrap up at 7pm. There is still time to feed the Candy Monster if you want to donate candy to this fun PTA event!
