She is always very respectful to her teachers and classmates. She always gives her best effort on assignments even when they are hard for her. She completes all of her classwork on time. She is responsible and brings materials to class and is always ready to learn new skills with a great attitude. She follows the Kodiak Way by being Kind, Safe, Responsible and Kind!"

Starting Feb. 19th, VMS Student Council will be conducting a Food Drive to support the Idaho Food Bank. Students are encouraged to bring at least three cans each, so that our school could raise at least 3,000 food items for the food bank. CONGRATULATIONS to our STUDENT OF THE WEEK, Finn Taylor! Mrs. Summers said the following about Finn: "Finn always works diligently on his schoolwork and puts his best into every task, but I have noticed that when he finishes his work, he quietly and happily chooses to do helpful things in our classroom like tidying up disorganized craft supplies, picking clutter up from the floor, helping others and otherwise being a great citizen in our classroom. I am so grateful to have such a responsible and trustworthy student in my class! Thanks for being awesome, Finn!"

Guided by our very talented Mr. Brendan Grzanic, our 6th grade Beginning Band performed in front of a very supportive larger audience Feb. 8th in the VMS main gym. Thanks to all who attended and performed for making this concert a success!
