Congratulations to Jackson Boydston!
Jackson is our student of the week. He was nominated by Ms. Heidi Maimer. Ms. Maimer wrote that Jackson is respectful to adults, classroom, hallways and cafeteria. Additionally, he is on task, helpful to others and always works to his highest potential both in school and on the field as a left tackle on the football team.
Wondering who your child takes after? Teachers may not be able to answer that question, but they sure are able to add more information about how your child is doing on assignments for their classes. Feel free to drop in during parent/teacher conferences and talk to any of the teachers you would like to talk to. This opportunity is great for teachers, too, as we get to work with you in maintaining our "Partners in Learning" attitude and use that time to discuss strategies specific to helping your child.
Our October staff member of the month is Mrs. Jennifer Shalz. Mrs. Shalz is our math interventionist and assists with intervention systems at VMS. She contributes to a positive culture at VMS by helping to ensure students receive the support they need to be successful. Thank you for everything you do everyday to help make VMS such a positive, student centered school!
Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up next week, which also marks the end of the first quarter of this school year. Please take a look at the posted schedule on our school's calendar and feel free to reach out to a teacher, if you are unable to make any of those times. Your VMS teachers are just one email or phone call away and will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
A big shout out to our Victory boys led by Coach Chow and his amazing staff with Coach Ryan. They all played and coached their hearts out. So proud of them!
