Chess Club is THURSDAYS during ALL three lunches! Please make sure to please eat in the cafeteria the first ten minutes of lunch. Then, if you are a sixth grader, you will be going to Mr. Rethy's room 108 to play chess. 6th graders, please do make sure to pick up a pass during break from Mr. Rethy on the day of chess club. If you are a 7th grader, Mrs. Shalz will meet you with boards in the cafeteria and you will be able to just stay in the cafeteria and play. If you are an 8th grader, Ms. Cornell will meet you with the boards in the cafeteria and you will be able to just stay in the cafeteria and play.. If you do not know how to play, all three teachers are able to teach you, so you are not required to know chess to join Chess Club. This year we hope to crown a Chess Queen and Chess King for each grade level by the end of the year! Will it be you? We also will consider hosting advisory representatives playing against each other during Chess Club. Talk to Mr. Rethy, Mrs. Shalz or Ms. Cornell for more information.
