Post 4: Yesterday was the 3rd Annual Spalding Talent Show. 75 acts tried out but, for the sake of time, the list had to be narrowed to 25. These kids are TALENTED! Wow, we loved watching our friends showcase their talents. Somehow this talented girl didn't make it in the previous posts. She was awesome! #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to the entire Spalding Staff! We have a great group of dedicated educators who want great things for all students. Not everyone is pictured, but all are appreciated and a valuable member of the Spalding Staff. #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

Today is the 3rd Grade's Music program. This program's theme is Mother's Day! This morning 3rd grade is practicing in front of the school, this afternoon is the program for parents. There will be songs sung and instruments played. A BIG thank you to Ms. Floyd for organizing and preparing students for another amazing music performance for Spalding. We are so thankful for the Spalding parents and are happy these kiddos can honor their Moms and Mother-figures today. Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms! #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

On Monday, Karen Davis from the Owyhee Gem and Mineral Society spoke with Spalding STEM fourth grade classes about different types of minerals and rocks. This was a conclusion to a Science Unit. The presentation was excellent. The hands-on activities were so fun! And everyone learned. We are so thankful Ms. Davis shared her knowledge with us. #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

Happy Principal's Day to our very own Mrs. Dobson! She is a compassionate, student-focused, data-driven leader who genuinely enjoys being around children. Spalding STEM's Certified and Classified Employees of the year were honored at West Ada's Employees of the Year Dinner tonight. We are so proud that Mrs. Brandi Huffman and Mrs. Amy Little are members of our school community. Congratulations to these dedicated employees and amazing humans. Thank you both for all you do at Spalding! #Spalding STEM #ForOurKids

On Administrative Assistants Day, we just have to say- OUR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS ARE THE BEST! Spalding STEM is a better place because of Mrs. Kim Galimanis and Mrs. Darcie Murdock. They are both incredibly smart, kind, hardworking, and organized. They go above and beyond daily! The staff couldn't be more grateful. They live our school motto #ForOurKids. #SpaldingSTEM

Today, First Grade is sharing their musical talents and helping us celebrate yesterday's Earth Day! This morning they are practicing by performing for the school. This afternoon parents/family are welcome to attend the final performance. #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

Wow! What a great experience! Recently, Spalding's 4th grade classes split into two groups so we could have a guided tour of the State Capitol. Half of the classes went on April 4 and half on April 5. The weather was unusually cold and rainy/snowy so we did not have the opportunity to eat lunch in the park. But, our guided tours were phenomenal! Such a great experience. The students learned so much. Idaho is so blessed to have such a beautiful Capitol building.

Thursday, April 4 was Librarian day! Spalding STEM is so lucky to have Mrs. Verheij for our librarian. She is so very kind, clearly loves working with children, and incredibly hard-working! Students and staff wrote her notes of appreciation on, what else, a paper cutout of a book. Thanks for all you do Mrs. V! We appreciate you! #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

April 3 was Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! We have some of the best here at Spalding STEM! We are so thankful for our hardworking, compassionate, and kind Paras. #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

At Spalding STEM, we've been busy these last few weeks. So much fun and so much learning! It's great to be a Spalding Eagle! Two weeks ago we had a visit from author Alicia Klepeis. Ms. Klepeis primarily writes non-fiction children's books. Her presentation on how she writes books was outstanding! The students (and staff) loved the ideas and presentation. A big thank you to Alicia Klepeis for sharing her talent with us. #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids

Westy from West Ada's School Nutrition Services visited Spalding STEM Academy during lunch today! The kids loved seeing Westy who not only helped in the kitchen and visited kids while they ate. Such fun part of the day! Westy, thanks for visiting! #SpaldingSTEM #ForOurKids
