ISATs are coming up!
Our ISAT assessments begin next week for our 3rd through 5th grade students. We will be assessing on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting April 18 at 9:15 am. This is our time for our students to "show what they know."
There are a few things you can do to help set your child up for success. Please make sure your child...
- Gets a good night's sleep
- Eats a good breakfast (at home or at school)
- Arrives on time
Let's work together to build their confidence and remind them that they are capable and ready for these assessments!
St. Luke's Mobile Mammography will be at McMillan on Friday, April 7th. Sign-ups are open to McMillan parents if interested.
A big thank you to our Librarian, Becky Kooyman, for "Bringing Books to Life". Happy National School Librarian Day!
Today's Eagle Spotlight is on our Extended Resource Room Paraprofessionals: Shasta, Heather, Crystal, Melinda, Rachel, and Ray. Our school appreciates that they are always there to support McMillan students in their learning. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure our students are getting what they need.
McMillan would not be the same without the six of you. Thank you for everything you do!

Today's Eagle Spotlight is on Mrs. Parker's 3rd grade class.
Students used thinking skills and perseverance to create their own math problems, solve them independently, and then present their work to the class- all within 8 minutes!
What a wonderful way to use McMillan's Learner Dispositions!
Today's Eagle Spotlight is on 5th grade teacher Dominique Arroyo.
She is being recognized by her co-teacher, Mrs. Stadler.
Mrs. Stadler shares that Ms. Arroyo is the epitome of professionalism, high expectations (for herself and her students), and hard work. Her students are kept at high levels of learning throughout the instructional day. She always prepares her lessons with care and thought, and Mrs. Stadler is grateful to work with her every day.
Thank you for everything you do, Ms. Arroyo! McMillan is lucky to have such a powerful 5th grade team.
Have you ever painted snow before?
How is it different than painting on paper?
What happens if we use more than one color?
What happens if we bring the snow inside?
Our preschool students were able to practice their art and science skills in the snow this week by exploring the answers to these questions and more.
Great thinking, Eagles!
Today’s Eagle Spotlight is on McMillan staff members!
Have you looked at our goal sticker wall? It is getting so full. This is a testament to how much our staff members focus on student learning.
