Colt Class Highlight: Throughout the semester Pottery students learn to create pieces of art using the four main building methods; pinch, coil, slab, and wheel thrown. My Pottery class is currently finishing up their coil pots and beginning to build their slab boxes. Every student works at a different pace so there tends to be some overlap as some students finish up one project and others move onto the next. It’s very rewarding as a teacher to see students take ownership of their learning after I teach them the basic skills for each building method. I also love seeing the creativity these students bring to class. Pottery is one of my favorite subjects to teach and I can see the students skills grow throughout the Semester and I can see their excitement towards the class as well!
Parents- conferences are next week! Eagle Middle will host open house Parent Teacher conferences Wednesday 10/19 5:00-7:30 and Thursday 10/20 8:00-Noon, 3:30-7:00.

Colt Class Highlight: Ms. Gumm's yearbook class is off to a great start. The kids had a ring ceremony to commit themselves to the yearbook this year. While at camp this summer, the students won a cover session with a design artist. They loved watching the cover be designed right in front of them. They are currently working hard to make sure they get the pages done so that students can have an amazing yearbook in the spring! #wearewestada #buyyouryearbook #jostens

Eagle Middle School celebrates National Custodian Appreciation Day! Thank you to our custodians, maintenance technicians and grounds workers for all they do for our school. Mr. Fritsch's class recognized our custodians by writing them a card and gifting them a golden mop. Thanks for all you do!
