It’s Eagle High School Bands annual fundraising drive! Our goal is to raise $35,000 & you can donate by clicking the link in our bio!
The Eagle High School Band program aims to provide the highest level of music education and experience to our students and community. To attain this, we rely heavily on community support to obtain equipment and experiences for our awesome students.
Our students learn so much more than just musical skills. The lessons they take away from our program prepare them to be successful in life in whatever areas they choose to pursue.
We are proud of our students for all their accomplishments. We are particularly proud that for the first time in school history, the EHS Thundering Mustang Band has won the D-III Marching Band Sweepstakes award! Last year, our percussion ensemble was featured at the Idaho Music Educators All-State Conference. Our ensembles continue to receive superior ratings at festivals, and many of our students participate in All-State, Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and other honor ensembles.
You can support our program in two ways:
1. You can make a direct donation to the band by writing check, giving cash, using a credit card Through the West Ada Foundation portal on www.eaglebands.net
or
2. Purchase raffle tickets online at www.eaglebands.net
Your donation will not only directly impact our current students, but future students in years to come!
Thank you, veterans ❤️
Background art is by Eagle High senior Sutton Dorr who wrote the following about the piece:
For this project I wanted to do something that represented a soldier in some way. When thinking about what to do I didn’t want to do a modern
soldier because I wanted to honor past soldiers with this piece. When researching Veteran's Day, I saw that it was created to celebrate the end of
WW1. So, I chose to paint a WW1 soldiers' uniform with a medal that I created. I created a new medal that looks like a poppy with elements of the
American flag. I created this medal because I believe every soldier deserves one even if they never got one. I chose a poppy to convey that
because they represent fallen soldiers.
I want the audience to feel like all soldiers should be honored and that soldiers should feel like they deserve to be honored. This artwork is
supposed to honor all Veterans for what they have sacrificed for this country. I believe they all deserve a medal for being brave and putting their
lives on the line for others. When someone who has served looks at this, I want them to feel proud of themselves and appreciated.
