Galileo STEM a Academy embraces a vision to “encourage students to be their best by unleashing unlimited potential through innovative relevant learning and empowering critical thinkers through active engagement.” One way in which they do this is through special programs like Botball robotics.
The school’s Botball teams are comprised of 20-30 students who believe that robotics is important in both the present and the future.
Did you know that 16 of the 20 fastest growing careers here in Idaho require STEM skills? Additionally, in the next decades, studies show that 80% of jobs will require people to learn to code. Programming in C++ coding language, building robots, and developing student leaders are all benefits of Botball robotics.
In July of 2022, the school’s combined Botball and Junior Botball Robotics Teams will attend the Global Competition for Educational Robotics (GCER) in Norman, Oklahoma. As robot enthusiasts, they are eager to participate with students from around the world as we pursue our passions and further our
knowledge.
