Last weekend our VMS Future Cities teams led by our hard working gifted and talented teacher Elyse Thorpe had a great showing at the annual local Future Cities competition. Here are the results: New Nenu - Best Visualization of a Smart, Sustainable City New Nenu - Best Design of a City Power System with 100% "Net-Zero" Emission Sources Dyfoldol - Best Consideration of Air Transportation Nerdebyen - Most Innovative Approach to Overcoming Obstacles. Congratulations to the entire Future Cities Team for making your mark and standing out in such innovative and creative ways!

While you are updating your calendar to include Monday's (Jan. 22) PTSO meeting at 7 p.m. in the library and also adding "Defend the Den" for your Jan. 26th plans, make sure that all students from VMS do attend school January 24th next week. Due to our recent "snow days" the academic calendar has been updated.

As many of you are aware, Muna is out recovering from a knee surgery. District has been sending coverage for the daytime. But the extra load and burden of the snow and mess in the building is being felt by our nighttime crew. We truly appreciate all you do to keep VMS operational and looking amazing!

Your second semester schedules can be found on Power School. Please contact our school counselors if you see any problem with your schedule. Any advisory teacher can give you a print out of your schedule, too, if you lost yours before break.
