Huge shoutout to our amazing School Resource Officer, Jared Haustveit! 👮‍♂️💙 He connects with our VMS students in such positive ways and makes a real impact on our school community.

Recently, he spent the day teaching Digital Tools classes about internet safety — from smart online choices to the risks of cyberbullying and social media. The conversations were powerful and eye-opening.

We’re so lucky to have him as part of our VMS family! 🙌

These outstanding athletes were nominated by their coaches for modeling excellence in athletics and in the classroom. They demonstrate the Kodiak Way in everything they do! Keep up the amazing work!

On Friday, our incredible school psychologist, Rachel Vachon, was honored with the School Psychologist President's Award for our district. Rachel was acknowledged for her excellent leadership in the profession, her resilience, her dedication to her coworkers and students, and for uplifting those around her.
So proud and so well-deserved!

Our Fuel Up to Play 60 crew showed up bright and early this weekend to volunteer at the St. Luke's FitOne Half Marathon! These amazing students ran two water stations with the help of Mrs. Wright, Mr. Hoogendoorn, Mrs. Janke, and Mrs. Marcoux. They brought the energy and support to every runner who passed by!

And a huge shoutout to three teachers who laced up and ran the race themselves! Way to go Mr. Ancheta, Ms. Dougan, and Mr. DeHaas!
