**PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE WITH YOU. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRINT THEM FOR YOU**

Returning students and new students who would like extra time at the school are welcome to come by the school for this informal open house. You can walk the halls, find your classrooms, lockers, etc. You will have the opportunity to meet your teachers on the 12th or the first day of school. Please feel free to visit the main office if you have any questions or concerns and don’t forget to stop by the bookkeeper to pay for any optional school items for the year (yearbooks, fall athletics, agenda books and/or activity cards.) Only cash and check payments will be accepted by the bookkeeper. Credit card payments can be made online.

Welcome to Star Middle! 6th graders and new students will have an opportunity to walk the halls, find classrooms and lockers. Meet our principals, administrative and office team, counselors and school nurse and available to ask questions. Please stop by the cafeteria where you can find important information on bus transportation, school nutrition, PTO and STMS athletic programs.

New this year! Students are required to have their student ID badges with them at school every day. Badges will be required to ride the bus home from school ! If a student loses their badge, a new one can be purchased from the bookkeeper for $5.

Parents of STMS student athletes,

The 24-25 athletic season is upon us! We are excited to have our student athletes back in the building soon and competing as a Star Cowboy.

This link has all the calendars and links to each individual sports page where you will find all the information needed for each sport. Including coach contact, printable schedules, practice dates, and what is needed for the first practice.

Star Middle recommends the following supplies. Anything else needed will be communicated directly from the teacher.

• #2 pencils

• 1 inch three ring binder (6th grade)

• Blue / Black / Red pens

• Colored pencils

• Composition notebooks

• Earbuds - wired

• Erasers

• Glue sticks

• Highlighters

• Lined loose-leaf paper

• Pencil case/bags (holes for binder)

• Ruler (metric and standard)

• Subject dividers or Subject pocket folders

• Large binder (Students generally prefer a large, zipper binder with pockets)

Having your student ride the bus to and from school is a great way to avoid the parking lot congestion. Please visit the Westada Transportation Website for information on bussing. You must update PowerSchool and fill out the "Request for Transportation" form to be routed on a bus.

Schedules will be available by August 8th. There is a possibility of schedule changes up until the first day of school, so please check PowerSchool the day before school starts. Enrollment is high and schedule changes may not be possible.

PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL INFORMATION HAS BEEN REVIEWED/UPDATED & SUBMITTED IN POWERSCHOOL. YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO VIEW YOUR CHILD’S CLASS SCHEDULE UNTIL ALL INFORMATION HAS BEEN REVIEWED & SUBMITTED.

Please be aware that there will be road construction on Pollard Lane and Floating Feather during the first few weeks of school. Cross walks are being installed to provide a safer path to school for students walking and riding their bikes.
