Next week! Wednesday(8/28) the RHS music department is hosting a welcome back party! Join us for a Welcome Back Party for the music department on Wednesday, August 28th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at Kleiner Park! We'll have pizza, potluck-style desserts, and tons of fun with music and games led by our amazing Ensemble Presidents!

We're excited for the upcoming school year and wanted to share an important update about our cell phone and electronic device policy (Policy 502.80).
To keep classrooms focused and free from distractions, students won't be allowed to use cell phones and personal electronic devices during class unless the teacher gives permission. Here are the key points:
No Devices in Class: Students must place their devices in a designated area (like lockers or baskets) before class starts.
Devices Off: All devices should be powered off while in the designated classroom storage area.
Smartwatches: These can stay with students but must be turned off during class.
Exceptions: Teachers may allow device use for specific educational purposes or in emergencies.
This policy starts with the 2024-2025 school year and applies to all students. We’re committed to making our schools a great place to learn, and your support helps us achieve that.

Pick up school ID (every student will need to pick up; they have the RFID code needed to ride buses, door access)
Be prepared with your class schedule & locker info in PowerSchool. Click on School Information to view locker info.
RHS Boosters will be there w/ limited spirit wear to purchase.
Students new to the WASD can pick up their laptops.
Bookkeeper will be there for purchasing optional items & picking up parking permits. (Using MySchoolFees to pay helps avoid lines!)
School Nutrition will be available to answer questions & assist with putting money in student accounts.
Hello Voyagers! We'd like to welcome you back to school with our Welcome Aboard event! Please stop by the school on Monday, August 12th. The school will be open for you between 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Find your classrooms, practice opening your lockers, and say hi to your friends. Class schedules and locker info can be found in Class Choice only after August 1st. Schedules can only be seen if parents have updated all forms recently in Parent PowerSchool. These forms need to be updated every year. See you on the 12th!

A reminder that this Friday(4/26) is our end of year awards assembly at Mountain View H.S. Students will be bussed over to MVHS for the assembly starting at 9:45am. Parents, we won’t be able to release students for appointments during the assembly, so please plan accordingly.
Calling all carnival goers! Come on out to Renaissance High School THIS SATURDAY(4/27) from 10a-2p for fun carnival games hosted by clubs at Renaissance, food trucks, and much more! This event is CASH ONLY, so make sure to stop by an ATM before you arrive. Parking is FREE in the West Ada staff lot on the west side of the WASD/RHS building. We hope to see everyone there!
Congratulations to Ella Hessing and Katie Shaw who were named state champions for public forum debate at the recent state competition. RHS Speech and Debate team took 2nd overall for the state of Idaho! Shout out to their amazing coach Kyra Drexler who, earlier this year, was named speech arts teacher of the year in Idaho!

RHS students competed in the TSA(Technology Student Association) Spring leadership Conference this past weekend. Our RHS TSA students walked away with 35 medals, and the overall chapter CHAMPIONSHIP. Many students will now prepare to compete at the national conference this summer in Orlando, Florida. Congratulations, Voyagers!

A friendly reminder for students with D/F grades as of 2/15 at 3PM. Starting Tuesday, February 20th, students with D/F grades will be required to attend Advisory from 2:15-2:40 every day(no advisory on Wednesdays).
