Attention 8th Grade Students who are interested in attending Renaissance High School next year:
What is Renaissance High School?
Renaissance High School is a School of Choice in the West Ada School District. Students must apply through the West Ada School of Choice lottery process. While there is no GPA requirement to attend Renaissance, students must be academically proficient in the 8th grade ISAT Math and ELA to be accepted.
We offer a college preparatory curriculum, which includes unique programs such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program/Career Program and the ISU Associate of Arts Degree in University Studies. Our graduates go on to be successful college students and pursue careers in multiple fields. Students may participate in sports and extracurricular activities at their boundary high school, as well as other clubs and activities offered at RHS.
Characteristics that help students at Renaissance High School experience success include self-motivation; working well with others; being organized; having good attendance; interest in learning more about a subject; independence; punctuality (getting assignments completed on time); and good time management. These characteristics are usually embodied in students who choose to take honors/challenging courses.
