🎉 Celebrating Two Incredible Careers! 🎉
Please join us in honoring the retirement of two amazing Frontier Falcons who have dedicated decades to shaping young minds and supporting our school community. 🧡🦅
✨ Theresa Price has been teaching for an incredible 40 years—30 of those within the West Ada School District and 16 right here at Frontier as our talented and passionate Gifted and Talented teacher. Her creativity, compassion, and commitment have inspired generations of learners to think deeply and dream big.
💻 Violeta Phenis has been a cornerstone of West Ada for 27 years, with all but three of those at Frontier! From computer instruction to her most recent role supporting students in our SPED department as a paraprofessional, Violeta’s adaptability, kindness, and quiet strength have touched countless lives.
Thank you, Theresa and Violeta, for your unwavering dedication, wisdom, and heart. Your legacy will continue to echo through the halls of Frontier for years to come. 💐
Enjoy this next chapter—you’ve earned every moment of it! 💛

🌿🌼 Our kindergarteners had an amazing adventure at the Idaho Botanical Gardens! Thanks to a generous grant from the Gardens, our students explored the wonders of nature while learning all about the needs of plants and animals to survive. 🌱🦋 We’re so grateful for this hands-on learning opportunity!

🎉 Congratulations, Mrs. Jennifer Reese! 🎉
We are so proud to announce that our very own Mrs. Reese, 5th grade teacher at Frontier, has been named West Ada’s Elementary North Rookie of the Year! 🏆🍎
Although this is her first year as a classroom teacher, Mrs. Reese is no stranger to Frontier. She spent the last 5 years here as a dedicated paraprofessional while working toward her teaching degree. Her commitment, passion, and endless hours of hard work are an inspiration to us all.
We are thrilled to have her leading a classroom and shaping the minds of our Falcons. Congratulations, Mrs. Reese — this honor is so well-deserved! 💙🦅

🏃♂️💨 It’s only TUESDAY and Frontier is already firing on all cylinders!
We kicked off the week with our Jog-a-Thon after two weeks of incredible fundraising—and guess what?! Thanks to our amazing Falcon families and community, we raised over $13,000! 🎉💰 These funds will go toward field trips, classroom snacks, supplies, and more to support our awesome students. THANK YOU for your generosity! 💙
At the Jog-a-Thon, students ran, walked, and cheered each other on around the track—and yes, there was a staff race featuring inflatable costumes. 🦄🦖🍔 (It was epic.)
Then yesterday, we set sail into testing season with our high-energy testing assembly! This year’s theme: “ARRRR you reading to test?” 🏴☠️📚 Our pirates—I mean, students—are geared up and ready to conquer those ISATs!
This morning, our 3rd–5th graders braved the testing tunnel, tackled a testing obstacle course, and crushed their first Reading ISAT like champs! 💪📖💥
Way to go, Falcons! 🦅 Let’s keep that momentum going!

🚒🔥 Last week, our 2nd graders learned all about fire safety and what to do in case of a house fire. A big thank you to the Boise Fire Department for visiting Frontier and teaching our students how to stay safe and be prepared! 👨🚒🧯

🪵🗺️ Last week, our 4th graders took a journey back in time at the Idaho State Museum! They explored Idaho’s history through the eyes of Lewis and Clark—with help from Sacagawea—and learned all about life on the Oregon Trail. 🐂🌾 Students even put their pioneer skills to the test by designing boats to get their “prairie schooners and families” safely across the river. What an adventure!

📚😺 Last week was National Library Week, and our kindergarteners celebrated during their library enrichment time by reading a Pete the Cat book and making their very own Pete the Cat hats! It was a purr-fect mix of reading and creativity! 💙📖🎨

🌿 Field Trip Fun! 🌻
Our second graders took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to the Idaho Botanical Gardens! This hands-on experience was the perfect way to bring their current science lessons to life.
We’re so thankful for opportunities that make learning meaningful, engaging, and fun!

🎭 Frontier's Performing Arts Club Presents: The Lion King! 🦁🌅
On Friday evening, our talented students took the stage and wow—what a performance! These incredible kids have been rehearsing since November, and their hard work truly paid off.
A huge thank you to all the staff and parents who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this production to life.
And a very special shoutout to Mrs. Allen, our amazing director, for her vision, dedication, and leadership in taking on such a big project and making it all happen. Bravo to everyone involved! 👏🎶

❄️🏔️ 4th Grade Adventure at Bogus Basin! 🏔️❄️
Earlier this week, our 4th graders had an unforgettable experience snowshoeing and measuring the snowpack at Bogus Basin! For many, it was their first time in the mountains—and definitely their first time on snowshoes! ⛄👣
The highlight of the trip? Sliding down the hill like penguins on their bellies and exploring the inside of an igloo! 🐧❄️
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTO for making this trip possible. We hope to make this a new 4th-grade tradition! 💙🏔️

📚🎉 Welcome to Frontier Elementary, Class of 2038! 🎓✨ We’re excited to have our newest Falcons join the nest. The future is bright with you in it! 💙

Happy St. Patrick's Day from a few of Frontier's littlest leprechauns!

🌟✨ Last night was GLOWING with energy at our Neon Dance Party! ✨🌟
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made it such a fun and unforgettable night! 🎶💃🕺 The turnout was amazing, the neon was bright, and the dance floor was packed!
We love seeing our community come together to celebrate and have a blast. 💛 Until next time—keep shining! 🌟

🎉 Congratulations, Mrs. Allen! 🎉
A huge shoutout to Mrs. Allen for receiving a $400 grant from The WestAda Education Foundation! Not only is she an incredible kindergarten teacher, but she also leads Frontier’s Performing Arts Club (PAC). This spring, the PAC kids will take the stage for "The Lion King," and this generous funding will help bring their performance to life with amazing costumes! 🦁🎭
Thank you, Mrs. Allen, for your dedication to our students! 💙

🎉 Congratulations to Sara Jo Buffington! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own Sara Jo Buffington, school counselor at Frontier Elementary, has been named WestAda School District's Elementary Counselor of the Year! 🌟
School counselors play a vital role in supporting students' academic success, emotional well-being, and social growth. From teaching coping skills and conflict resolution to providing a safe space for students, their impact is immeasurable.
Ms. Buffington's dedication to our students, families, and staff is nothing short of amazing, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our Frontier Family. 💙🦅💚
