Remote Learning Opportunities
Remote learning for an emergency closure/snow day refers to the continuation of educational activities and academic practice/extension despite the closure of physical school facilities due to inclement weather conditions, particularly heavy snowfall. In the context of a snow day, where traditional in-person classes may be disrupted, West Ada School District may implement remote learning strategies to ensure that students can continue their studies from the safety of their homes.
In West Ada School District we believe that education knows no boundaries. Our remote learning platform is designed to empower learners (Pre-K through 12th), providing a flexible and accessible avenue for skill extension and reinforcement.
Remote Learning Activities (Pre-K-12)
Students and families have the option to choose resources from the available drop-down menus in our remote learning menu (scroll down). A variety of both online and non-digital at-home learning activities have been curated for students. It's important to note that printing is not necessary for any of the non-digital options. However, if parents prefer hard copies, they can conveniently pick them up directly from their child's school or at the West Ada District Service Center (1303 E. Central Drive Meridian, ID 83642).
