Registered Students will be placed according to their age, with preference given to the older students. Please note:

  • Students must register via the link below for the Driver's Education program in order to be considered for placement.

  • Payment without registering does not register a student for the Driver's Education program.

Class Schedule
All sessions have online, asynchronous class through West Ada's Microsoft TEAMS platform.

  • Asynchronous classes will be Monday - Friday for one and one half (1½) hours.

  • Classwork must be completed every day between 7:00am and 4:00 pm.

  • Students will need access to TEAMS every day for their class instructions.

Drive Schedule*
Students will be scheduled for drives at the Student/Parent Meetings. Please see session info above for meeting information.

*Drive times may change due to enrollment numbers and availability of instructors. There may be limited drive times outside of this time schedule depending on instructor availability.

Students must attend all classes and drives in their chosen session. State Regulations do not allow for prearranged absences. Students who miss class or drives due to illness will need to make arrangements for a make-up session with their class instructor. Permits will be issued at the completion of 30 hours of class, 6 hours of driving instruction and 6 hours of observation in a session.

Students must be at least 14½ in order purchase a permit and to be allowed in the program. Upon completion of the program, each student is required by the State of Idaho to drive with parental supervision for a minimum of six (6) months and fifty (50) hours. During this time frame the parents and students will be required to keep a log of their hours.

Please note: Students must register via the district-provided application link (blue button provided below) in order to be considered for placement. Payment without registering does not signup or register a student for our program. Students placement depends on their age and meeting registration deadlines.

Registration Information

Students selected for the program will be emailed a Confirmation of Enrollment Letter indicating accepted into the course. Letters will be emailed out the week after the registration deadline, (please set your spam settings to allow receipt of this email) indicating acceptance into the course.

You must return the Enrollment Placement form by the date listed in the email with your permit number and the receipt number indicating that the fees have been paid to West Ada School District. If not, the student will forfeit their spot in the course.

The fee can be paid in person to any high school bookkeeper or online using the My School Fees link on the District’s Web Page. Please check with the Bookkeeper at your home school to arrange payment.

Your Permit Number is obtained at the DMV, and you must have a Letter of Compliance/Verification of Compliance (VOC) in order purchase the permit.
