Brendan Grzanic has spent most of his life here in the Treasure Valley and has been teaching in West Ada schools since 2010. He currently teaches band and music at Victory Middle and is an assistant director at Centennial High School during the fall marching band season.
Prior to joining the teaching staff at Victory, Mr. Grzanic taught music and band at Pioneer School of the Arts and Galileo STEM Academy. He has maintained a private trumpet lesson studio for over seventeen years and has been a member of the Boise Philharmonic since 2011. He is a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and he received his Orff-Schulwerk Level 1 certification in the summer of 2015.
While at Boise State, Mr. Grzanic studied trumpet with Professor Marcellus Brown and was a principal trumpet player in the University’s Symphonic Winds and the University Orchestra. In addition to his work with the Boise Philharmonic, Mr. Grzanic has performed with the Boise Baroque Orchestra, the Brass Band of the Treasure Valley, the Boise City Band, the Boise Music Week Orchestra, the Meridian Symphony, the Hymns of Thanksgiving Orchestra, and the Treasure Valley Concert Band. He is also an active freelance performer in the community and frequently performs as a soloist and with several local brass chamber groups.
In his free time, Mr. Grzanic enjoys woodworking, biking, hiking, and backpacking in the mountains.
