School Pride:
The Ponderosa mascot is the Eagle and our colors are navy blue, hunter green and tan. Our school motto is, “Soaring high to achieve success!” Our school is named in honor of the Ponderosa Pine.

School Activities:

PTA, Student Council, Speed Jump, Fuel Up to Play 60, Eagle Striders (Pacers), Book Fair, 3rd Grade Bike Rodeo, Service Projects.

Ponderosa serves students who are Deaf or hard of hearing in West Ada and surrounding school districts. We are also partners with IESDB and integrate their preschool program into the school. Ponderosa has a strong wellness focus. A track was installed for the school-wide Pacer program. Students and staff walk and run more than 40,000 miles a year. We participate in Mayor's Walking Club each year. Teachers often write grants to supplement materials, supplies, and specialized seating.
