I started wrestling at the age of four. Over the last 30 years wrestling has been my greatest passion and one of the biggest contributors to the success I have had off the mat. I am a husband, father of three, high school biology teacher, own a small wildland fire fighting company and wrestling coach. On the mat I have won state, reno worlds, I am in the national wrestling hall of fame, was a three-time collegiate All American and a national runner up at the Junior College and NAIA levels.
For the past five years I have taught Biology and was the head wrestling assistant at Columbia High School. At Columbia I have helped coach the team to two state championships, one runner up, a third and fifth place. In college I was a part of the national championship team at Clackamas Community College and took second place twice as a team at Southern Oregon University.
I am excited to bring my experience and passion to Owyhee and build a legacy with you!

I have been actively involved in wrestling both as a coach and an athlete for 39 years. Along with being the Girls Head Coach, I am also the head coach for Star Middle. My love for wrestling has extended beyond middle and high school wrestling into the world of MMA where I am currently coaching athletes at the amateur and professional levels.

I have an extensive 12-year background in competitive wrestling, with achievements including multiple state placements in freestyle, Greco-Roman, and folkstyle wrestling. Over the past 7 years, I have dedicated myself to coaching within the valley, commencing my coaching journey at Owyhee during its inaugural year. My passion for wrestling and coaching continues to drive my commitment to the sport.

I have been coaching wrestling for the past 8 years. I dedicated 5 years of service to Sage Valley Middle School before transitioning to Owyhee High School upon its establishment in 2021. Wrestling holds a significant place in my life, imparting invaluable lessons about self-discovery and life's complexities. Undoubtedly, it stands as one of the most demanding yet gratifying sports in which a high school athlete can partake.
