Varsity Head Coach- Gene Corson

Gene Corson has loved soccer for as long as he can remember. From playing competitive soccer in the Denver area as a youth, to playing club soccer at the University of Wyoming, to the Kingsbridge FC men's over 30 league indoor league team where he ended his professional (ha ha) playing career, he has found great joy in competing.

He started coaching soccer in 2000 and has loved (almost) every second. He was forced to take a leave of absence from coaching during medical school and residency but jumped right back into it once he graduated residency and landed here in the Treasure Valley in 2012. Since then he has coached youth rec soccer, at FC Nova, and then at Boise Timbers Thorns. He is a USSF- C license coach and is also a Certified Interscholastic Coach and NFHS level III coach.

In his personal life, Gene's favorite titles are husband and father. He has been married for 24 years to his wonderful wife and they have 4 children together. They love to do active things together as a family. Gene is also an avid golfer (HCP 8), pickleball player (DUPR 4.2) and scuba diver. The stats are to see if anyone reads this page =). Professionally, he is a board certified emergency medicine physician.

JV Head Coach- Kayla Davis

Kayla (Irminger) Davis has been playing soccer in the Treasure Valley since her early rec days. A decorated multi-sport student athlete, college ball was off the table due to injury but after a few years of healing she found her way back on the pitch—and hasn't hung up her cleats since. She's shared her love of the game through coaching competitive youth players with local clubs like BNSC, Nova, Real FC and Rush.

Off the field, Kayla is a professional copywriter and marketing consultant. In her free time you can find her hiking the Boise foothills or backpacking through Idaho's gorgeous backcountry. She lives in Boise with her husband, two boys, two dogs, and a bunch of chickens. Feel free to reach out and say hey—she's excited to be part of the program and can't wait to meet you all!
