This past weekend, April 14-16th, the Mountain View Speech and Debate team traveled to Coeur d'Alene to compete at the 2023 IHSAA State Speech Tournament held at Lake City High School! The Mavericks were represented by Sophomore Nicole Sabir competing in Panel Discussion, Senior Hannah Johnston competing in Panel Discussion, Senior Morgan Gehring competing in Sales Speaking and Senior Sam Kleman competing in Radio Broadcasting journalism and After Dinner Speaking. All of MVHS' 5 entries advanced through the prelims to the semi-final round! Nicole Sabir led the way with a 2nd place finish in Panel Discussion (out of 51 competitors) and Sam Kleman finished in 6th place in Radio Broadcasting Journalism (out of 36 competitors). This concludes our 2022-2023 season! GO MAVS!
