AUDITIONS for SHREK THE MUSICAL - Open to All Students!!!

Auditions: November 18 or 19 starting at 3:00 pm; Callbacks: November 20 starting at 3:00 pm

Sign up for an audition time slot/session on the CALLBOARD in A-Hall (behind the MVP Theatre).

What to prepare for your audition:

1) Memorize a ONE MINUTE MONOLOGUE (humorous/one character) to perform.

2) Memorize 32 BARS from a SONG (humorous or upbeat) from a MUSICAL to perform.

[dive right into the song and show us the gusto (high/big stuff) / have your own backup track ready w/out vocals / NO ACAPELLA]

3.) Learn and be practiced with the SAMPLE CHOREOGRAPHY that will be posted below soon. You must be able to perform the simple moves and with the persons in your session.

4.) You must be available for call backs, the duration of the rehearsal process, and all performances. Check the calendar posted on the call board in the theatre hall and at the link below.

TASTE OF THEATER is an intimate evening of theater where patrons, fans, family and friends can support their student competitors in this year's IHSAA District Drama Competition. Our 46 individuals and teams will present their entries for your, our live audience, on two evenings, while you dine on gourmet desserts made by talented chefs and bakeries. Each night is a different cast so sweeten your lives and dine twice. Admission is $10 for all seats and seating is limited. There are no discounts as this is a fundraising event and dessert is included with each paid admission.

 TASTE OF THEATER... will run for 90 minutes with an additional ten-minute intermission.

Photography & texting are forbidden during the performance. Thank you for honoring & respecting our legal agreement, performers & audience members.
