Idaho LAUNCH Program
All Things Idaho LAUNCH Related
This is the second year of the Idaho LAUNCH grant program that aims to connect students with in-demand careers by helping cover the cost of an Idaho university, community college, career technical, or workforce training program.
MVHS will be assisting students during College Application Week to complete the Idaho LAUNCH application pending that they have their SS#. Application takes 10-15 minutes.
We will also be hosting LAUNCH lunch Thursdays in the career center! Students can bring their laptops and get help with application, follow up tasks and any to do items.
Scholarship Idaho Account
ScholarshipIdaho houses the Idaho Launch Scholarship along with numerous other state scholarship initiatives. CLICK HERE to start that application.
Application OPENS: October 1
Rolling DEADLINES: November 30
Application CLOSES: April 15
Contingent Offers will continue to be accepted until April 15 with award notifications rolling through Spring.
Eligibility:
Graduate from an Idaho High School
Be an Idaho Resident
Be enrolled in an in-demand career field (CLICK HERE for list of in-demand careers)
Begin Post-Secondary Program by fall semester after graduation
Complete a Career Pathway Plan
Next Steps Idaho Account
After students complete Scholarship Idaho for their Idaho Launch Grant, they will need to create a New Next Steps Idaho account. CLICK HERE and make new account.
After you create your next steps account, go to the person circle (Top Right Hand Corner), click on User Profile, then next to your name you will find an Idaho LAUNCH Code. You will want to copy that code and plug it into your Scholarship Idaho Application.
Once code is synced, go to student dashboard, click on 12th grade tab under the My Pathway Bundles, then click on the Idaho Launch Career Pathway Plan.

There are 4 activities that need to be completed:
Plan Smart Assessment & Reflection
Work Values Assessment & Reflection
Interest Profiler & Reflection
Verify Student EDUID
Once you see all 4 checkmarks, you have completed the Pathway Plan. Due May 31st.
Create a Grant Account
Student will receive an email mid to late June with details about creating grant account and uploading documentation for verification of high school graduation.
Things that will be asked of students for verification:
High school diploma or transcript with graduation date
Students will need to upload a copy of a valid* drivers license. (Most expire on their 18th birthday)
