It doesn’t cost a lot to make a big difference for the Eagle High School Band!
The Idaho Education Tax Credit allows you to support the Eagle High School Band using funds you would otherwise pay in state taxes.
Contributions to the Foundation qualify for a 50% tax credit—directly reducing your tax liability. If you itemize deductions, your donation may also provide income tax deductions on both your state and federal returns, in addition to the 50% Idaho income tax credit. Your tax benefits will vary based on your income and filing status, so it's advisable to consult with your tax advisor for more details.
Here’s how the tax credit works:
Idaho individuals can receive a tax credit of up to 50% for gifts up to $1,000 (a $500 credit).
Idaho married couples can receive a tax credit of up to 50% for gifts up to $2,000 (a $1,000 credit).
Idaho corporations can receive a tax credit of up to 50% for gifts up to $10,000 (a $5,000 credit).
Your donation can go even further if you or your spouse work for a company that offers a gift-matching program.
Since the West Ada Education Foundation is a registered nonprofit, your contribution qualifies for both a tax deduction and an Idaho tax credit!
The Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
Charitable gifts to the Education Foundation can be claimed as a tax deduction on both federal and state income tax returns. To claim the Federal deduction you must itemize your deductions and file a Schedule A Form.
The table below assumes the persons making the contributions are married, filing a joint return, itemizing their deductions, and are in the 24% tax bracket for Federal and the 7.4% tax bracket for Idaho. Consult your tax advisor for more information.
