About Our School

Eagle Elementary School has a historic campus. The school is laid out on what was once pasture land for grazing cows. In the late 1800s, the need for more than one school arose because of the increase in settlers in this valley. Children had to ride in buggies or by horseback to get to school. In 1910, a new brick schoolhouse was constructed where our current school is located. It was Eagle’s first high school. Later, classrooms and a gymnasium were built on the lower level. That gym, and two classrooms, exists to this day.

Eagle Elementary School has a unique layout. There are five buildings on two levels used for the education of students. The main building, on our upper campus, contains the administrative office, cafeteria, kitchen, and classrooms for 1st & 2nd grade, along with our resource room. Behind this sits a building that contains our school library, computer lab and classrooms for kindergarten and  3rd grade. We also have a portable which is used for GT classes. The lower campus includes our 4th & 5th-grade classrooms, a music room, an art room, and a gym. The gymnasium being part of the old high school has the only full-sized, hardwood floor on an elementary campus in our district.

Although the buildings are older, they have been upgraded to support current technology. We have computers in each classroom as well as a full computer lab. Our gymnasium has a stage at one end that has been upgraded and is being used for school plays and other performances.

Our students, parents, and staff believe in a school that promotes respect, sets high expectations, and involves the community. We are renowned for our warmth, volunteer-friendly atmosphere, and competent staff. Our students score well on ISAT tests achieving at or above district level. It is truly our mission to meet the needs of every student who walks through our doors.

Our Mission is to: "Provide a high-quality education in a diverse and creative learning environment. "
