CHS 2025-2026 Course Selection

*Counselors will assist 11th grade students with course selection on Friday, January 24 and Monday, January 27 in English 11 classes.

*10th grade student course selection will take place Tuesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 30 in English 10 classes.

*9th grade students will select courses during their Math I/Honors Math II classes on Friday, January 31 and Monday February 3.

*Counselors will assist our feeder middle schools with student course selection in February (LSMS Thurs 2/6 and LCMS Tue 2/11)

Charting Your High School Course: Course Selection Night

Join us for charting your high school course where parents can participate in student course selection and get their questions answered!

WHY: Parents and students together supporting student selection and planning their 4-years.

How to Select Next Year's Classes

Get to Class Choice by finding the icon on the left side menu on your student or Power School account.

Please take the time to choose your classes wisely.  Schedule changes in the fall are only made for misplacement.

Course Selection Worksheet (refer to your grade level tab at the bottom of the page)

  • You will request 6 classes each semester, plus 4 alternates. If you do not select alternates and we cannot accommodate your requested classes, your alternates WILL be chosen for you.  DO NOT SKIP CHOOSING AT MINIMUM FOUR (4) ALTERNATE COURSES.

  • You have been given the option to choose your math class for next year. This request will be REVIEWED by your current math teacher. Please facilitate a conversation with them to ensure placement in the appropriate/your preferred next year’s math class.

  • Year-long classes need to be entered for BOTH semesters.

  • You may only choose from the classes listed on the corresponding grade level course list, unless following a CTE Pathway (refer to grade level tabs at the bottom of the page)

  • 11th and 12th grade students interested in being a teacher assistant, counselor assistant, front office assistant, or a library assistant, will need to apply using the following link no later than Friday, April 4th at 3:00pm – CLICK HERE.

    • YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AN AIDE POSITION FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE FORM BY THE REQUESTED DATE.

    • COMPLETION OF THE FORM DOES NOT GURANTEE AN AIDE POSITION FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR, IT ONLY SHOWS YOUR INTEREST.

Miscellaneous Information

  • Student athletes must earn 6 credits (of 8 classes) the previous semester for athletic eligibility.

  • Include all personal information, student signature, and parent signature on the course selection form.

Summer School

Enrollment for Summer School generally takes place in the Spring. Please contact your School Counselor for more information. 

Remember, all grades count as a high school student and required classes must be passed successfully to stay on track for graduation.  Working hard, putting in your best effort, doing your homework and studying are essential to success in high school.

Career Technical Programs

Centennial students have the opportunity to take career-technical courses at other school locations during their regular school day. These courses give students a real "hands-on" learning experience. Transportation is provided from through the WATS System and shuttles from CHS to our partnering schools. There is a high demand for these courses so be sure to sign up early and speak with your counselor if you have any questions.
