School Information

Central Academy is a public, alternative high school for grades 9 - 12 in a growing suburban area of Southwest Idaho. It opened in the Fall of 2005, due to an increasing number of students wanting to enroll at the two other academy's in the district. The enrollment is capped at 175 students to preserve the small school atmosphere. Classes are designed to accommodate 20 students with an average of 15 to 18 students per class.

Central Academy also has in addition to the principal; 12 full-time teachers, half-time Special Education teacher, one full time counselor, SRO, and Librarian.

All certified staff members are certified in their subject area, with approximately two-thirds of the staff having advanced degrees. Besides the certified staff, there are additional support staff members; custodian, special education aide, secretary/registrar, and a safe schools aide.

Central Academy offers all courses required by the State of Idaho for graduation and several electives classes.
